Project Overview
The Stephen Palmer School served as a neighborhood elementary school for the Town of Needham for more than 60 years. After its closure in 1977, the Town entered into a 50-year ground lease with Crowninshield/Stephen Palmer associates to convert the school building into affordable senior residential units/
As the Town approaches the expiration date of the Ground lease in 2027, the Town is considering future options for the site. Working with Barrett Planning Group and Gamble Associates, the Town of Needham is exploring all potential options for the Stephen Palmer Building.
